La Perle des Dieux vintage sardines 2023

Sardines in olive oil caught in 2023, "vintage" because like wine, they can be kept for up to 10 years (but make sure to flip them every 6 months)

They are fished off the coast of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie and its region, in France. They are worked fresh and prepared by hand and are the result of a know-how perpetuated since 1887 (just that!)

They are tender, delicate with a slight nutty taste. We eat them on toasted sourdough bread, rubbed with garlic if you like, otherwise they are really good by themselves.
